Join acclaimed jazz recording artist and teacher Caleb Dillon Murray for a 4-part Jazz Masterclass series at Sound Union. Open to all instrumentalists, this immersive program is designed to sharpen your skills, deepen your understanding of jazz, and bring the joy of ensemble playing to life.

Over four consecutive Tuesdays—September 16th, 23rd, 30th and Oct. 7th from 7–8 pm—Caleb will guide participants through a curated selection of jazz classics, focusing on technique, improvisation, and collaborative performance. Whether you’re an experienced player or simply eager to explore the genre, you’ll gain valuable insights while making music with a supportive group of peers.

Step into a creative and collaborative musical experience with the Contemporary Chorus, an exciting new project led by visionary musician Sasha Sound. This chorus is a space where unique individual voices come together in harmony, blending artistry, expression, and connection.

We invite passionate singers with prior vocal experience to join us for this inspired journey of sound, rhythm, and resonance. Through innovative vocal techniques, improvisation, and ensemble synergy, we’ll craft a powerful and engaging performance for our culminating concert on May 31—with the possibility of additional performances.

About the Chorus
The repertoire will feature uplifting contemporary vocal music, including original compositions and multi-stylistic arrangements influenced by Jazz, Soul, and R'n'B.

About Sasha Sound
Sasha Sound is a multi-genre musician, composer, and seasoned educator with 15 years of teaching experience. As a pianist and chamber musician, Sasha has performed widely, blending his deep love for collaboration with his mastery of diverse musical styles. He has successfully organized events across the Bay Area, featuring instrumental, solo vocal, and vocal ensemble performances. As a leader of a jazz combo and an accomplished artist, Sasha brings his rich musical background to create an exciting environment where singers can thrive.

His approach encourages each voice to blossom in authentic expression, while fostering a sense of community, inspiration, and joy through shared music-making.

Requirements to Join:
 - Participants must be 15 years or older
 - A love for singing and exploring creative expression
 - Pitch awareness (ability to harmonize and sing in tune)
 - Willingness to contribute your talents to this empowering musical experience
- Openness to learning and exploring new musical ideas
- Prior choir or vocal ensemble experience is a plus
- Previous vocal training is also a plus
